I still cannot score -20 to -22 at my best courses. I am an arcade player who can score at most -13 to -15 in courses such TPC Scottsdale, TPC Boston, Wetlands, and St Andrews because those courses accommodate my playing style using the power game. In Career Mode, my average is around -8 to -10 for 18 holes.

The scoring is also dependable on what type of course is played on and also playing style. Rhein Gibson holds the record of -16 in a single round in the PGA Tour that is still not -22. Jack Nicklaus an Tiger Woods did not score -22 in a single round.

I don’t know any pro golfer who could score -22 in a single round. a bad sign for a game that is only a few months old. But I'm finding I am not playing some days.

I'm pretty bored with the game and find I'm forcing myself to get on to try a play a round a day for my trophy collecting. And I'm playing the hardest settings with additional aids disabled (green grids are on), but the AI is at 100. I only slowdown and take some time if the AI is close on thd scoreboard, but this is seldom the case. I'm just racing through my career and collecting trophies. I am no longer surprised if I post a 57 or a 69. With slightly different payouts for each.īut I agree -8 is pretty good average scoring depending on the level you are playing at. But maybe offering a handicap system would also also be a nice change of pace. When ready though, grouping people of similar skill levels is ideal. I don't think the levels are correctly balanced/defined yet. The game is not ready for on-line play in my opinion. Top 10% moved to a higher tier, bottom 10% moved to a lower tier, and everyone else stayed where they were.īest compeition system I have seen in gaming. The system had multiple tiers and promoted and relagated people to a tier based on their performance that week. That game had a tournament system that matched people of the same ability level against each other. EA should have taken a page from a crappy little mobile game called Golf Star. Finding online matches becomes even more of an issue. If people feel that the online content is not engaging, then they won't play it, and the game quickly dries up. Not sure what mode the OPs playing, but -8/-9 is an above average score for someone playing on Tour mode. The majority of the people playing the game are going to shoot like the OP. For myself and I'm sure many other players like myself, this would make much more sense the the Tournament/ Online system they have now.ĮA, how about throwing us average players a little OPs post is a real problem for the game. This could easily be fixed by ranking players to a "Handicap" like they do in the real world, and then creating tournaments and online play, that groups people based on their handicaps. So while I can completely understand having a good game, having these ridiculous scores ALL THE TIME, is NOT VERY REALISTIC. 18 Hole - you're going to need to shoot ant the neighborhood of -20 to -22įor me being an average player, I don't understand how players are achieving these scores, but the most irritating thing to me is, you see the same players, shooting the same ridiculous scores day in, day out, over and over every single day, every single tournament.

6 Hole - you better be able to shoot a -7 to -8 4 Hole - you better be able to shoot a -5 or -6 to compete. However, when I try to compete in the Tournaments ( and Online) I find I'm competing with players with absolutely ridiculous scores. Over 18 holes I will usually average a -8 or -9 or so. I try to compete in the Tournaments, but it's a complete waste of time for me.
